Port Elizabeth police are searching for two armed suspects, after a Somalian shop was robbed in Arcadia on Friday night.
Capt Johan Rheeder says two men, between the ages of 20 and 30, entered the shop, armed with knives, and robbed the shop owner of an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and cellphone airtime.
He says the shopowner was slightly injured, after sustaining a cut to his hand.
Meanwhile, a take-away business was robbed in Grahamstad on Friday evening.
Police captain Mali Govender says three men, one of them armed with a firearm, entered the shop in Highstreet, posing as customers.
She says the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the tills,as well as cellphones of staffmembers and fled the scene.
No-one was injured, and no arrests have yet been made.
