Butterworth man killed after being hit by a car

A  27 year old man was killed, after he was hit by a car on the N2 highway near Butterworth on Friday evening.

Police captain Jackson Manatha says the car was travelling in the direction of East London.

He says the cause of the accident is still unknown.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened against the driver, who hails from Buffalo Flats in East London.
