East London police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of the body of a young woman in Parkside.
Police spokesperson Hazel Mqala says passersby discovered the body behind the Parkside library late on Thursday.
The victim has not been identified and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Mqala said the woman was found wearing only a T-shirt and that it would appear that she had died several days ago.
