A 48 year old East London woman has died after being electrocuted by an illegal electricity connection at C-Section in Duncan Village.
Police spokesperson, captain Steven Marais, says the incident happened early on Thursday morning when the woman went to fetch her children from the home of a relative.
He says as she tried to climb an embankment she slipped and apparently grabbed on to the electrical connection to stabilise herself.
She was electrocuted as the illegal connection snapped.
