Police in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt for the suspects linked to the murder of an East London prosecutor.
The prosecutor was murdered at New Rest just outside of Butterworth at around 19:45 on Thursday night.
SAPS Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa said the 49-year-old victim was followed by two unknown men at a local shebeen.
The balaclava-clad men shot the prosecutor in his upper body.
He died at the scene.
Mawisa said the motive for the murder is still unknown.
