East London policeman and his girlfriend found dead

 East London police are investigating the death of a member of the police's tactical response team and a young woman, who were found shot to death in a doctor's surgery in Mdantsane today.

Provincial police spokesperson, Captain Ernest Sigobe, says at this stage police have opened an inquest docket.

A 9mm pistol was found on the scene.

The motive for the shooting is not yet known.

Sigobe says the police constable was 27 years old while the woman was 22.

Their names have not yet been released.
