East London police appeal to public for information

East London police are appealing to the public for information on a hit-and-run accident on the N-2 on Tuesday in front of Life Beacon Bay Hospital.

Captain Stephen Marais, says a man in his fifties, was hit by a car which failed to stop at the accident scene.

He has appealed to anyone who may have information on the driver and the vehicle to contact the Beacon Bay police.

Marais says all information will be treated confidentially.

The deceased has not been identified.
