East London dentist takes pic of rare cloud formation

An East London dentist is creating a stir with a breathtaking photograph he took at Old Selbornians on Wednesday of a fast-approaching storm.

So much so, that a national Television station has expressed interest in flighting the study of nature in its fiercest form.

Jannes van Vuuren (35) says he was playing in his local frisbee league when he saw an imposing cloud formation bearing down on the Old Boys club shortly after 5pm.

He says the "mushroom cloud" was like an atom bomb and looked like something out of a sci-fi movie.

"I ran to my car to grab my I-phone 6 and took a picture, moments before the rain started," he said.

Jannes says he will now blow up the picture and hang it up somewhere in his house.
