Port Elizabeth police are still searching for three suspects, after a petrol station in Motherwell was robbed and a vehicle hijacked in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu says the armed men wearing masks, held staff at gunpoint.
He says while the robbery was still in progress, a customer who was driving white VW Polo arrived, and was ordered by the robbers to lie down.
Gwavu says the suspects fled the scene in the Polo, after taking cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone.
