Two members of East London's flying squad have put a dent in the dagga trade.
Warrant Officer Lynton Cox and Constable John Barends arrested four alleged smugglers early on Monday morning following a high-speed chase on the N-2.
Police spokesperson, captain Stephen Marais, says the men tried to outrun the police after failing to stop at a routine police stop and go near the Brakfontein turn-off.
He says when police pulled the bakkie over they found nine bags of dagga with an estimated street value of more than R90 000.
The suspects, who are from East London, were due to appear in court on Monday on a charge of dealing in dagga.
