Senior officials from Nelson Mandela Bay municipality will be visiting Helenvale, in Port Elizabeth's northern areas, on Monday morning.
That's to assess the needs of the community following a weekend shack fire which left one person dead.
He was identified as Maurice Campher.
Municipality spokesperson, Kupido Baron, says executive mayor Benson Fihla visited the area following the fire which destroyed several shacks.
Helenvale was the scene of two days of protests last week by local residents who demanded to be employed on projects in the neighbourhood.
