Several motorists are expected to appear in various courts in the Garden Route on Monday following their arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says 46 drivers were arrested in a multi-disciplinary operation that started on Thursday and ended on Sunday.
He says 11 motorists were arrested in George, 9 in Mossel Bay and seven in Knysna.
Sergeant Spies says four liquor outlets were also closed down and four suspects were arrested for selling liquor without a license in Pacaltsdorp in George.
He says 524 litres of alcohol were confiscated.
Garden Route police say these operations will be ongoing throughout the festive season.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Cape, 10 motorists were arrested for drunk driving at a roadblock on the R61 near Port St Johns on Saturday.
