A 34-year-old woman is expected to appear in the George Magistrates Court on Monday for her alleged involvement in trafficking women into the country.
The Hawks arrested the female at a residential complex in George on Saturday where the foreign national women were being kept.
It is alleged that the victims, aged between 21 and 47, were trafficked into the country inside a shipping container from West Africa a few months ago.
The Hawks said they were allegedly given fake passports and then advertised on an escort website.
The women have since been rescued and were taken for medical assessment, before being moved to a place of safety.
The suspect in custody is the caretaker of the house and will be charged with contravention of Section 4 (1) and Section 7 of the Prevention and Combatting of the Trafficking Persons Act of 2013.
