Police in George say they have dealt a blow to the illicit drug trade following the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of R2.1 million in Thembalethu.
Western Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said members were acting on a tip-off when they descended on a house in Zone 8 on Sunday
He said the place was abandoned but police found 36 550 mandrax tablets, 300 grams of heroin, and 532 grams of tik on site.
Spies said no arrests had been made yet.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident on Saturday, Albertinia and Kwanonqaba police members arrested two men for being in possession of 500 mandrax tablets.
The suspects, aged 26 and 47, were charged with dealing drugs and will appear in court soon.
In other weekend operations, Spies said seven people were also arrested in Mossel Bay on drug-related charges.
