The Central Karoo K9-unit has arrested two men, aged 29 and 37, after mandrax tablets and heroine were found in their vehicle in Beaufort West.
Southern Cape Police Captain Bernadine Steyn says police stopped a white Iveco minibus in Donkin Street on Wednesday morning and found approximately 500 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of R434 000.
They also seized 5 000 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R400 000.
The two men, who are both from Boksburg, were arrested on the scene and are expected to appear in the Beaufort West Magistrates' court soon.
