Drowning at Knysna lagoon

 A family outing in Knysna came to a tragic end after a 22 year old man drowned in the lagoon.

Spokesperson for the NSRA Commander Jerome Simonis says the man and his relatives had gone out in their canoe when it tipped over.

He says there were 5 people in the canoe and it may have been too heavy.

The 22 year old disappeared under the water. His body was later found by police divers.
