A man who is possibly a foreign national was killed on Thursday morning after he allegedly lost control of his vehicle and hit a truck head-on.
Provincial Traffic says the victim was travelling from Mthatha in the direction of Qumbu when he lost control of his Nissan Sedan and ended up facing the oncoming traffic.
The driver then collided head-on with a truck, shortly before 6 am.
The truck driver and his assistant were heading towards Mthatha when the accident happened.
They both sustained slight injuries and were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.
A case of culpable homicide will be investigated by Tsolo Saps.
The name of the deceased is not yet known, but according to officials on the scene, his vehicle had a Malawian registration number.
