Driver killed following early morning collision in Uitenhage

Uitenhage police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after man was killed when a truck and a car collided in Melbrooks Avenue on Monday morning.

Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, says it's alleged that the driver of an Opel Corsa had made a u-turn in the road.

She says a truck travelling behind collided with the car, killing the driver.

Swart says four other people, including a child were taken to hospital.The name of the victim has not yet been released.
