One person was killed and two others were seriously injured when a vehicle rolled on the N9 between Aberdeen and Graaff-Reinet in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Aberdeen police report that the accident happened around 2.45 am when a BMW with three occupants lost control and overturned.
The driver was declared dead on the scene while two male passengers were admitted to the Maclean Hospital with severe injuries.
It's alleged that speed and fatigue were the main contributing factors to the accident.
Aberdeen police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
