The East London High Court has convicted a 33-year-old man for the 2017 murder of farm owner Jason Winrow.
Judge Thembekile Malusi also found Odwa Ntlangani guilty of robbery with aggravating circumstances, stock-theft and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Ntlangani accosted Winrow on the evening of the 28th of July 2017 as he alighted from his bakkie to open the gate of his Donga Creek farm at Bluewater.
He was shot and stabbed to death.
The State also charged Ntlangani for the attempted murder of the 82-year-old Adelaide Kapa, whose fingers were amputated as a result of an attack with a panga.
Ntlangeni, however, was acquitted of this charge.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Anelisa Ngcakani, says Ntlangeni will be sentenced on Thursday.
