Driver flees scene of accident after passenger dies

 One person was killed when an over-loaded jikileza taxi overturned on the corner of Nooitgedacht and Old Uitenhage roads on Tuesday morning.

He says the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned.

Labans says 7 other passengers were seriously injured and admitted to hospital.

He says the driver fled the scene and is being sought by police.

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
