Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a double murder after two people were gunned down in Bloemendal in the Northern Areas on Wednesday night.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police were called out to a report of a shooting in Bardien Street at about 8 pm.
She says when officers arrived on the scene they found the 20-year-old Samonisha Bosch and the 26-year-old Selvano Block lying in the street.
Bosch sustained a gunshot wound to her neck and arm whilst Block was shot in the head.
Both victims died later in hospital.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
Naidu appealed to members of the community to come forward with information and to not protect these criminals,
