The decomposed body of a woman has been found in dense bushes in the Booysens Park area of Port Elizabeth.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the body was discovered by a man who found his dog feeding on the remains of a human hand.
Naidu says the the dog owner immediately called the police who found the rest of her remains.
Her identity is not yet known.
Naidu says police are urging the public to assist them in identifying the woman or locating her next of kin.
