Do these stolen goods belong to you?


Eastern Cape police have made a breakthrough in their investigation on the ongoing robberies within the Addo area.

Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says a 58-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning.

Detectives followed up on valuable information on Thursday which led to the arrests.

Police also confiscated stolen goods to the value of more than R100 000.

They have called on the Addo community to make contact with them in order for them to trace the rightful owners.

Items confiscated range from TV sets, computers, drills, binoculars, angle drills, wheat eaters, camera lenses, bench saws, cordless drills, jigsaws, a small safe, camping stove, mountain bike, 48kg gas canister, compressor, Playstations, Xboxes, notebook, power sanders, digital cameras, a lawnmower, inverter, generator, DVD players and several cellphones.

The suspects will spend the weekend behind bars and make their first appearance in the Kirkwood magistrates court on Monday.
