Disaster management teams are on high alert following warnings of heavy rain and snowfalls over the Ttsitsikamma and Eastern Cape.
The weather office has warned that more than 100mm of rain is expected in total over the next few days which could lead to localised flooding due to saturation of ground water.
Flooding of rivers is also expected while heavy snowfalls are expected in high-lying areas of the province with possible road closures.
