Decomposed body identified as missing Mossel Bay woman

Mossel Bay police have arrested a suspect, following the discovery of the body of a 23 year old woman underneath bushes at the Petro SA tank farm in Bayview last week. 

The body was wrapped in blankets and was at an advance stage of decomposition. 

A post mortem confirmed that the victim was strangled. 

DNA tests have since identified the body as that of Mossel bay resident, Janine Flores. 

She went missing a couple of weeks ago. 

Police said a 43 year old suspect had since been arrested in connection with the murder. 

The man appeared in court on Monday and remains in custody until his formal bail application.
