George police have released the identities of the young couple found shot to death in a house in Bergsig on Friday.
They were 31-year-old Stephen Fleck and 26-year-old Amorei Vermaak.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said earlier that a colleague of Vermaak’s went to the residence after she did not show up at work.
He said she found their bodies in a bedroom and alerted emergency services.
A firearm was found on the scene.
Spies said the circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation.
