The Death toll in Friday's horror accident on the N2 just outside of Duytwa has risen to seven.
Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says one person died while being attended to at the Dutywa Health Centre while another died on the way to Butterworth hospital.
Four women and one man died instantly in the crash. Seven people were injured and are being treated at various hospitals.
A bakkie, travelling in the direction of Mthatha, rolled several times and came to rest in an open veld next to the N2.
Police say it seems like only the one vehicle was involved in the accident.
No names have been released at this stage and police have opened a culpable homicide docket.
