Convicted Abathembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo has been taken back to the East London Correctional Centre.
This, after he was admitted to a private hospital in January after going on a hunger strike.
Correctional Services spokesperson, Manelisi Wolela, said Dalindyebo returned to prison on Thursday
"The Department of Correctional Services would like to confirm that the offender Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo was serving part of his sentence at the private hospital, because of illness. He has now returned to prison"
Wolela would not however comment on a rumour that Dalindyebo had to be forcefully removed from the hospital.
