Police in Nelson Mandela Bay confiscated four firearms in less than 24 hours and seized dagga with an estimated street value of more than R1.5 million in various operations at the weekend.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu reports that Anti-Gang Unit members followed up on information on Sunday morning and swooped on a house in Van Der Stel street in Kabega Park where they found numerous amounts of dagga stored in jars.
Thereafter, a thorough search of the house was conducted and a total of 4.996 kilogrammes of dagga heads, magic mushrooms, dagga sweets and a small amount of cash were confiscated.
The estimated value of the drugs is more than R1.5 million and an enquiry docket was opened for further investigation.
