The Democratic Alliance in Nelson Mandela Bay says it will lay criminal charges against mayor, Benson Fihla and his deputy, Chippa Ngcolomba.
DA caucus leader in the Metro, Leon de Villiers, says this is for their alleged political interference in the administration of the municipality which was given as the reason for the resignation of municipal manager, Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela.
De Villier said earlier that he had written to Local Government MEC, Mlibo Qoboshiyane, to take action on the Metro matter, also calling on him to consider charges against the mayor.
