DA's dossier on the Nelson Mandela Bay metro growing

 The Democratic Alliance says it has added another report on the conduct of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to a 41 page dossier already sent to the Public Protector.

DA Caucus Leader in Nelson Mandela Bay, Leon de Villiers, was reacting to a report in the Herald on Monday that the Municipality had purchased ANC t-shirts, ANC posters for by-elections, ANC banners for various occasions and ANC electioneering pamphlets.

A municipal spokesperson said, however, that almost all the items were for the funerals of ANC struggle stalwarts and community leaders.

De Villiers said he had every confidence that the Public Protector would investigate the DA's dossier on the Metro.

"There is absolutely no political will whatsoever to address the ongoing fraud and corruption and mismanagement in this metro and that is well documented in a 41 page dossier that was already sent to the Public Protector. We will merely be adding this particular finding to this report, so that the PP will have more evidence to go on" he said
