The Democratic Alliance in Buffalo City has slammed the Metro Municipality following a damning audit report.
DA chief whip in the Buffalo City council, Kevin Mileham, says there's been a muted response by the ANC and other political parties to what he says was a shocking audit report.
The provincial auditor general found fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure amounting to some 349-million rand.
"The public has the right to know how tenders are awarded who they are awarded to and on what basis" Mileham said.
He added that the right people are needed to do the job particularly the city manager and financial officer.
