The Democratic Alliance has approached the Western Cape High Court for an order compelling the public works department to hand over a report into the more than R200 million upgrade of President Jacob Zuma's
private residence at Nkandla.
DA parliamentary leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko, says she brought the application, not only in her personal capacity, but as leader of the party in parliament and in the public interest.
President Jacob Zuma, Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi, and his department's director general, have been listed as respondents.
Mazibuko says the DA has twice before tried to get their hands on the Nkandla report.
