The Democratic Alliance has won the municipal by-election in Ward Seven of the Bitou municipality at Plettenberg Bay.
DA candidate Annelise Olivier secured just under 54% of the vote on Wednesday's by-election which saw a high voter turnout of more than 72%.
The Independent Electoral Commission says on its website that the ANC won two by elections in the Eastern Cape.
The ANC won the by-election at Tarkastad with 62% of the vote and the one at Mbizana with 81%.
