Cyclone rumours in Eastern Cape false: SAWS

The Port Elizabeth branch of the South African Weather Service says a rumour going around that Tropical Storm "Irina" will hit Durban, and then move onto East London and Port Elizabeth, is false.

It says although there is a Tropical Storm, it is centered on the Mozambican south coast, and will bring heavy rainfall to Durban.

The weather service says no heavy rainfall is expected for the Eastern Cape region.
