Eastern Cape man murdered by girlfriend

Eastern Cape police have arrested a 40-year old woman for murdering her boyfriend in Centane.

Captain Jackson Manatha says the 52 year old man was lying on his bed, while his girlfriend was busy cooking in the kitchen.

He says the woman then entered the room, and threw boiling water in his face and over his body.

Manatha says the seriously injured man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died

The woman will appear in court on Monday on a murder charge.
