Adelaide police have arrested a 20-year-old suspect for raping a 14-year-old girl on Saturday.
It is alleged that when the victim went to a spaza shop last Tuesday, the accused took her to a nearby house where he allegedly raped her.
Cradock Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Louis Stone says after the incident the victim told a friend but refrained from reporting it to her mother and the police.
On Saturday the victim’s brother noticed that something was wrong with his sister after he questioned her.
The victim then reported the incident to her mother and then to the police.
The suspect will appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court later on Monday.
