A Cookhouse teenager is due to appear in court on Monday on a charge of murder.
Police said the 17-year-old youth was arrested over the weekend after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death.
A spokesperson said the two were returning from a tavern in the early hours of Sunday morning when they got into an argument.
The teenager allegedly stabbed the man in the chest who died on the scene.
He will appear in court in Somerset East.
