Cradock man in court for breaching his bail conditions

A 52- year old Cradock man accused of raping and kidnapping a 13-year old girl, has been fined R900 in the town's magistrates court for breaching his bail conditions.

Police spokesperson, Captain Stephanie Smith says the man appeared in court on Friday after he failed to show up on the 20th of October.

Smith says thereafter the court issued a warrant for his arrest.

The man, who is believed to have been in a sexual relationship with the child, was arrested in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.

The case was postponed until the 1st of December for further investigation.

The suspect will remain in custody.
