The covid-19 pandemic has caused a further delay in the ongoing trial against controversial Nigerian pastor, Timothy Omotoso and his two co-accused.
The trial, which usually attracts a large crowd both inside and outside the Port Elizabeth High Court, was provisionally postponed until Monday.
But the date has since been moved to the 28th of July.
National Prosecuting Authority regional spokesperson, Anelisa Ngcakani says under level 4 lockdown, interprovincial travelling remains prohibited.
Ngcakani says one of the accused stays in KwaZulu-Natal and other key witnesses also live in various parts of the country.
Omotoso will remain behind bars at St Albans prison, west of Port Elizabeth while Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho's bail is extended.
The trio faces 97 charges which include human trafficking and rape.
