A couple from Glentana was tied up and robbed by four balaclava-clad men in the early hours of Monday morning.
Sergeant Laurianne Botha of the Great Brak River police says the incident happened in Mossel Street at around 12.30 am and that the suspects shot out the window next to the front door and then forced their way inside.
They forced the couple to sit on two chairs and then tied them up before ransacking the double-storey home.
Sergeant Botha says the men fled with a television set, cellphone, camera, laptop computer and jewellery with a total value of more than 71-thousand rand.
Police are investigating a case of housebreaking and no arrests have yet been made.
The couple was left traumatised by the incident but were not injured.
