Police in Addo are looking for six men who stormed into the room of a lodge in the early hours of Saturday morning in the main road of town.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the men allegedly wore balaclavas and were armed with knives.
They threatened the couple who was sleeping inside before stealing a suitcase, laptop, camera, cash and binoculars before fleeing in their rental car.
Nkohli says shortly after the incident the vehicle was recovered at Jan Smuts Road, where it had overturned.
Nobody was injured and the suspects are still at large.
