Western Cape police have identified the couple arrested in the Wilderness on weapons charges.
Police spokesperson, captain Malcolm Pojie, says they are 61-year-old Hendrick Langeveld and his 54-year-old wife, Gillian.
They were arrested at their home in Wilderness last Friday by detectives attached to the Honeydew police station in Gauteng, assisted by the Hawks from George.
Pojie says the arrest warrant was issued after unlicensed firearms, ammunition and explosives, were found on the premises of their Honeydew home in Gauteng on Christmas Day by the new tenants.
He says police also found an unlicensed 9mm pistol and ammunition of various calibres and two magazines with R-1 rounds during the raid in Wilderness.
The couple appeared in court on Monday where their case was postponed to next Monday for a formal bail application.
