Border Policing members at the Port of Ngqura have acted on information received on counterfeit products and items being sold at a store in Port Elizabeth.
Earlier this week, a multi-disciplinary team swooped on the premises and seized counterfeit perfumes and branded clothing to the value of R7.1 million.
Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci says thousands of bottles of perfume valued at R6.95 million were confiscated.
Clothing items including top-end sports brands to the value of R171 000 were also confiscated and handed over to brand attorneys representatives for further investigation.
Colonel Soci says two suspects were warned in terms of dealing in counterfeit goods.
Their documentation was verified by the Department of Home Affairs as both are foreign nationals.
