Pioneer Fishing Group's management is holding an emergency meeting at its head office in Cape Town following Thursday night's first floor collapse of their Eyethu Fisheries building in the Port Elizabeth harbour.
Eighty six people were injured, two of them seriously, when the wooden first floor of the building collapsed onto the canteen area below, shortly before 9pm.
The Congress of South African Trade Unions has expressed its shock at the accident.
Cosatu's Patrick Craven says they're relieved there were no fatal injuries, but that a full investigation needs to be launched into the incident.
He wished all of the injured a speedy and full recovery
