Police in Mdantsane in East London have arrested three suspects and seized tobacco products worth half a million rand.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Nkhosikho Mzuku, says they also recovered three firearms during Thursday's's arrest in unit 17.
He says members of Mdantsane's Crime Prevention unit had been acting on information when they raided a house where they arrested two men and a woman.
Mzuku says the cigarettes were allegedly stolen during a heist in Beacon Bay on Thursday morning.
The three suspects, aged between 25 and 30, are facing charges of possession of stolen goods, possession of unlicensed fire-arms and armed robbery.
They are due to appear in the Mdantsane and East London Magistrate's Court respectively, soon.
