A policeman has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing two brothers in Makosha Village near Giyani, Limpopo.
According to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, the incident took at the police captain's tavern on Saturday.
Ipid spokesperson, Moses Dlamini said that it is alleged that as the officer was about to close his tavern he got into a fight with customers.
Dlamini said he then rushed to his car, got his wife's gun and shot the two men.
One man died on the scene while his brother was taken to Mankweng Hospital where he also died.
Dlamini said members of the community then retaliated and set alight his tavern, house and four cars.
"The suspect was arrested and handed over to the Ipid. He will appear at the Giyani Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder," he said.
