Convicted teen killer to face another murder charge in Thembalethu


The Thembalethu Regional Court in the Western Cape has sentenced a sixteen-year-old boy to an effective eight years behind bars for murder.

Sinethemba Nzima was sentenced to ten years, two of which were suspended for a period of five years on condition that he is not convicted of murder, attempted murder or culpable homicide during that time.

South African Police Services spokesperson Captain Dumile Gwavu said the grade ten learner was arrested on the 9th of October 2017 a day after killing the 18-year-old Sinoxolo Mlunguza.

The deceased sustained multiple stab wounds all over his body after being attacked by a group of learners.

Gwavu says the teenager faces another murder which took place in March this year.
