Afrikaans singer and activist Sunette Bridges , who is known for her passion for the right of white Afrikaners, launched her Red October campaign on Thursday.
Cities and towns from across the country will get together from noon where they will release biodegradable red balloons into the air.
Bridges says her campaign is to protest and raise awareness of farm murders, corruption in the country and what she calls the "slaughter" of Afrikaner people.
Events in the Eastern Cape will be held in East London, Port Elizabeth, Kirkwood and Kareedouw.
Algoafm news spoke to one of the representatives of the PE leg of the protest.
John Dex explains why he decided to get involved...
"I decided to get involved because of all this BEE Black Economic empowerment nonsense and racist policies against our white people, our people not having work and the murder of our people. This event is not racist but the constitutional right of a minority group" he said.
